Baby cereals are made with grains that have been treated with enzymes to make the cereals more digestible and easier to prepare compared to regular cereals (like your morning oatmeal) which require a cooking step or use of hot water. Simple sugars are generated as a byproduct of that treatment step, which the FDA considers to be ‘added’ and declared as such on our label. We do not add any additional sugars or sweeteners to our products.
