As you may have heard, babies should not have cow's milk as a replacement for breast milk or formula until they are 1 year old because of the risk of an iron deficiency. This is due to the fact that cow's milk does not contain as much iron as breast milk or formula, and it is not absorbed as well.
Ready. Set. Food! is not a replacement for your baby's diet, and is intended to be added to a bottle of breast milk, formula, or food as a way to safely introduce common allergens. We use a very small amount of cow's milk (just over half a gram of milk protein per day), equivalent to about 4 teaspoons of yogurt or cow’s milk.
