As you may have heard, babies should not have cow's milk as a replacement for breast milk or formula until they are 1 year old because of the risk of an iron deficiency. This is due to the fact that cow's milk does not contain as much iron as breast milk or formula, and it is not absorbed as well.
Ready, Set, Food! is not a replacement for your baby's diet, and you would add Ready, Set, Food! to a bottle of breast milk, formula, or food allowing you to safely introduce common allergens. We use a very small amount of cow's milk (only 1.5 grams of milk protein per day), equivalent to less than 1 teaspoon of yogurt or cow’s milk.
